About the Role

The MF-Housekeeper plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of multifamily residential properties within the real estate and rental industry. This position ensures that all common areas, hallways, lobbies, and shared facilities are kept in pristine condition to provide a welcoming environment for residents and visitors. The housekeeper will contribute to the property's reputation by performing routine cleaning tasks, identifying maintenance needs, and reporting any issues promptly. Attention to detail and consistency in cleaning standards are essential to uphold the quality expected by property management and residents alike. Ultimately, the MF-Housekeeper supports tenant satisfaction and retention by fostering a clean, safe, and pleasant living environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial services, preferably in a multifamily residential or commercial setting.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment operation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the real estate, rental, or property management industry.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices related to cleaning and maintenance.
• Certification in cleaning or janitorial services.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and property management staff.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of common areas including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms, and community spaces to ensure they meet established cleanliness standards.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with property guidelines and environmental regulations.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management when inventory is low or maintenance is required.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damages observed during cleaning rounds to the property management team promptly.
• Assist with seasonal deep cleaning projects and special cleaning assignments as directed by supervisors.
• Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams to ensure a coordinated approach to property upkeep.
