Administrative Assistant (Awesome Team, Great Mission)

We are seeking an organized, dependable, and professional Medicaid Eligibility Specialist to join our growing Subsidies Department. We provide essential 24-hour support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this position, you will help protect access to critical services by ensuring that the individuals we support are properly enrolled in Medicaid and maintain their eligibility. Why Join Our Team? Full-time position of approximately 40 hours per week Regular eight-hour weekday schedule, with flexibility in selecting a consistent start time between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. Established procedures and organized client records Experienced team and comprehensive training Meaningful work that directly supports individuals with disabilities Stable employment in an essential-service organization What You Will Do Communicate with Medicaid and Social Security eligibility workers and caseworkers on behalf of our clients Work with Social Security representatives regarding client benefits Coordinate with company administrators and other internal team members Gather financial, employment, and personal information needed for Medicaid applications and reviews Complete and submit Medicaid eligibility documentation Monitor renewal dates, deadlines, and requests for additional informationTrack and maintain client employment and income information Maintain accurate and organized electronic files Follow up on pending applications, renewals, and eligibility issues Help prevent interruptions in Medicaid and Social Security benefits Assist with other Subsidies Department responsibilities as needed What We Are Looking For Strong organizational and time-management skills Careful attention to detail Ability to manage multiple deadlines and follow-up items Professional written and verbal communication skills Confidence communicating with government agencies and internal administrators Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications Ability to work independently while contributing to a team Flexibility, dependability, and a positive professional attitude Ability to handle confidential personal and financial information appropriately Previous experience with Medicaid eligibility, Social Security benefits, healthcare administration, case management, billing, or government programs is a plus but not required. We offer in depth on the job training. This position is intended for someone seeking stable, long-term employment rather than temporary or seasonal work. Compensation: $15.50–$20.00 per hour, based on relevant experience and qualifications.
