Danny & Coop's is looking for an experienced, hands-on GM that also has experience in the kitchen to help lead our high-volume restaurant operation.

This is not a desk-management position. The right candidate must be able to perform every responsibility of a strong line cook while also handling the leadership, organization, and accountability expected of a General Manager. You should be equally comfortable running the line during a rush, managing employees, maintaining food quality, controlling costs, and overseeing the entire restaurant when the GM is unavailable.

Responsibilities include:

• Work every station on the line at a high level
• Lead service during high-volume shifts
• Train, coach, schedule, and supervise employees
• Maintain consistent food quality, portions, and presentation
• Oversee prep production and ensure the restaurant is ready for service
• Manage opening and closing procedures
• Monitor inventory, ordering, receiving, and waste
• Maintain food, labor, and operating-cost targets
• Enforce food-safety, sanitation, and workplace standards
• Resolve customer concerns professionally
• Hold employees accountable while maintaining a respectful workplace
• Identify operational problems and take immediate action
• Assume full responsibility for the restaurant when the General Manager is unavailable

Qualifications:

• At least three years of high-volume restaurant experience
• Previous kitchen leadership and restaurant-management experience
• Strong line-cooking, knife, prep, and food-production skills
• Ability to lead calmly and decisively during busy service
• Experience with scheduling, inventory, ordering, and cost control
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Current NYC Food Protection Certificate
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended shifts
• Open availability, including weekends and holidays
• Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus
