Berkshire Medical Center · BMC Ultrasound Hourly Pay Range: 18.5800 through 27.8800 Non-Scheduled , Shift 2 , 0 , Variable hours Variable Days Posted 06/05/2026 Overview The Radiology Aide plays a vital support role within the imaging department, assisting technologists with patient preparation, positioning, and exam facilitation. Responsibilities include verifying and managing images in PACS, retrieving prior studies when necessary, transporting patients safely throughout the hospital as requested, and serving as a liaison between modalities and other departments. This position requires strong organizational skills, willingness to learn film library operations, and adherence to hospital policies. Depending on certification, the Radiology Aide may also place IV catheters for contrast administration. Responsibilities Verify and manage images in PACS Retrieve prior studies when necessary Transport patients safely throughout the hospital as requested Serve as a liaison between modalities and other departments Assist with patient preparation and positioning for imaging exams Learn film library operations as applicable Where certified, place IV catheters for contrast administration Qualifications Experience: None Education and Training: None License, Certification & Registration: CPR Other Requirements: Keyboard experience (typing, computer) Experience in hospital environment preferred Medical terminology preferred Ability to read, write, and speak English Good independent management skills Ability to maintain good interpersonal relations with patients and co-workers High level of flexibility and organization Ability to interact appropriately with community, hospital staff, and physicians Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality The minimum and maximum of the hourly pay range for this position is shown above. Actual rates of pay may vary based on a range of factors including but not limited to experience and qualifications.
