Hot Seal Department Associate

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a detail-oriented Heat Seal Associate in Atlanta, GA. In this fast-paced and quality-focused role, you will be responsible for operating heat seal and packaging equipment, ensuring product quality, maintaining production records, and supporting efficient manufacturing operations. Responsibilities Operating heat seal, bagging, and packaging equipment according to production requirements. Reading and following work instructions, specifications, and production schedules. Monitoring temperature, pressure, and dwell-time settings to ensure proper seal quality. Inspecting finished products for seal integrity, consistency, and overall quality. Identifying and reporting defects, equipment issues, or production concerns. Performing basic troubleshooting for machine jams and seal defects. Completing production records, quality documentation, and inspection reports. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Working independently and collaboratively to meet production goals. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to read and follow work instructions and production specifications. Basic math skills for measurements, counts, and documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to lift materials weighing up to 25–50 pounds as needed. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating heat seal, bagging, or packaging equipment. Understanding of temperature, pressure, and dwell-time settings. Ability to inspect seals for quality and consistency. Familiarity with manufacturing safety procedures. Basic troubleshooting experience in a production environment. Previous production, assembly, or packaging experience. Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience. Benefits Starting pay of $17.00 per hour . Consistent first-shift schedule.
