The more you participate, the more you earn!/li/ulpDescription:/ppThe Clinical Pharmacy Specialist Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is an integral member of the multidisciplinary care team at Riley Childrens Hospital. This role provides advanced pharmaceutical care to critically ill neonates, infants, children and adolescents with complex cardiovascular disease states and congenital heart disease, through direct patient care, clinical decision-making, education, and quality improvement initiatives./ppThe Clinical Pharmacy Specialist functions as a subject matter expert in cardiovascular and critical care pharmacotherapy, ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use while supporting the hospitals mission of delivering exceptional pediatric care./ppA PGY2 or equivalent experience is required to be considered for this position./ppResponsibilities:/pulliProvide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to CVICU patients, including medication therapy management, dosing optimization, monitoring, and therapeutic recommendations./liliParticipate in daily multidisciplinary rounds with intensivists, surgeons, cardiologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals./liliServe as a clinical resource for pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, nutrition support, antimicrobial stewardship, and investigational therapies./liliIdentify, prevent, and manage adverse drug events and medication-related problems./liliSupport emergency responses, including code situations, as appropriate./liliProvide education, coaching, and skills development for pharmacy residents, pharmacy students, and pharmacists related to pharmacotherapy, clinical decision?making, and evidence-based practice in critically ill CVICU patients./li/ulpRequirements:/pulliRequires Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy prior to 2006./liliSuccessful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 or PGY2 residency may be required./liliRequires 0-3 years of relevant experience./liliRequires current Indiana Pharmacist license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist./liliBoard certification or other specialized training may be required./liliBasic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) and PALS required/liliOccasional weekends/li/ul/div
