Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart Nurse in Asheville, North Carolina. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care for cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG, Valve Replacement, VAD Insertions, and TAVR, within a high-performing hospital environment. The role requires extensive expertise in the Scrub Role for cardiothoracic surgeries and offers a dynamic, fast-paced setting dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Position Description: Must have extensive expertise and experience in the Scrub Role in cardiothoracic procedures such as CABG, Valve Replacement, VAD Insertions, TAVR, and more. Advanced skills in First Assist are preferred but not required.
• Certifications, Education Requirements, and Experience: Certifications required include CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) and BLS (Basic Life Support). No minimum years of experience specified, but candidates must have CVOR experience and have completed at least two travel assignments.
• Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Must be comfortable floating as needed; will work with a team including a Unit Secretary, Charge Nurse, PCA, and Core Tech. Extensive CVOR experience is essential, with proficiency in handling complex cardiac cases in a high-volume, efficient setting, following hospital policies and orientation guidelines.
