Full Time Lakewood Ca, CA, US Salary Range: $26.00 To $28.00 Hourly Inszone Insurance | Rancho Cordova, CA — Onsite | Accounting Department Classification: Non-Exempt | Hourly Compensation: $26.00 – $28.00 / hour Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM About the Role We're looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk with 1–3 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you'll support the accurate and timely processing of employee pay, commission calculations, and payroll-related recordkeeping. Why Join Inszone? Be part of a growing organization with opportunities for advancement and an excellent employee retention record Work alongside a collaborative and supportive accounting team Play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time Gain broad exposure to payroll systems, compliance, and cross-department processes Work closely with HR, accounting, and operational leaders What You'll Do Process bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees Enter and verify timekeeping data, including hours worked, overtime, and Vacation Calculating and process deductions (taxes, benefits, garnishments, retirement contributions) Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee pay inquiries Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files in compliance with company policy Assist with processing new hires, terminations, and status changes in the payroll system Support preparation of payroll reports for management and accounting Assist with year-end processes, including W-2 preparation Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and payroll data What Success Looks Like Payroll is processed accurately and on time every cycle Discrepancies are identified quickly and resolved with minimal disruption to employees Payroll records and employee files are complete, accurate, and audit-ready Federal, state, and local payroll compliance is consistently maintained Employee and payroll data is always handled with discretion and confidentiality Qualifications Required 1–3 years of payroll or related accounting experience High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in accounting, Business, or related field preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Understanding of basic payroll tax and wage/hour regulations Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Preferred Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Heartland, or similar) FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or working toward certification Experience with multi-state payroll processing Familiarity with HRIS systems Vacation: Competitive vacation policy Charitable Time Off: Paid time off to devote to your favorite charity Sick Time: Paid sick leave in accordance with company policy 401(k) Retirement Plan: Company-sponsored plan to support long-term financial growth Health Insurance: 100% employer-paid PPO for employee only #J-18808-Ljbffr
