Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities
- Enter timesheet and equipment data into the company payroll system
- Review timesheets for inconsistencies and follow up with supervisors to resolve discrepancies
- Reconcile payroll entries, corrections, and labor/equipment transfers
- Prepare and submit certified payroll in compliance with contract requirements
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and government agencies
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience, including union and/or certified payroll reporting
- Payroll experience within the construction industry
Preferred
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax filings
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Experience with union payroll compliance matters
- Familiarity with certified payroll and labor compliance requirements
