Quality Specialist - Personal Care Products Manufacturing (HOURLY) Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am– 5pm or 9am – 6pm. Occasional overtime on weekdays or Saturdays.

Job Overview:

CAPA Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and quality assurance protocols. This role will primarily focus on implementing and managing Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes to identify, investigate, and mitigate quality issues within the manufacturing environment. The Quality Specialist will also work alongside R&D to ensure CAPA learnings and quality standards are incorporated during new product development and scale-up efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Raw Material and Production Record Review — Perform detailed review of batch production and control records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with 21 CFR 211.
• Deviation & Investigation Support — Assist in documenting, investigating, closing and verification of deviations, nonconformances, and OOS/OOT events.
• CAPA Execution — Support development, implementation, and effectiveness checks of corrective and preventive actions.
• Change Control — Participate in change control evaluations to ensure proposed changes maintain compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
• Training Compliance — Ensure personnel training records are complete, current, and aligned with job responsibilities.
• Quality System Support — Contribute to internal audits, supplier qualification, complaint handling, equipment validation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Trending bench analysis results to reduce in-process adjustments and increase right-the-first-time production
• Data Integrity Monitoring — Verify ALCOA+ principles are followed across documentation, equipment logs, and electronic systems.
• Environmental & Facility Monitoring — Support routine monitoring programs, including cleaning verification, sanitation checks, and facility inspections.
• Bench Strength-Support laboratory technician bench strength with capability of performing testing for incoming raw materials, microbiological testing, and bulk/finished good analysis.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment (OTC, cosmetics, food, or similar).
• Working knowledge of 21 CFR 210 & 211, cGMP principles, and quality system fundamentals.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including Production, QC, Maintenance and Supply Chain.
• Experience with electronic quality systems (eQMS) preferred.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

• Ability to work in manufacturing, and warehouse environments.
• Standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Use of PPE including lab coats, gloves, hairnets, and safety glasses
• Cosmetic GMPs (ISO 22716 awareness)
• Fragrance/allergen/organic documentation
