Manufacturing Technician II
Santa Clara, CA | Contract | Monday Friday, 7am 3:30pm About the Role
Join a dynamic team as a Manufacturing Technician II, where you ll play a pivotal role in producing innovative single-use technologies and control systems. This contract position offers a structured weekday schedule and the opportunity to make a direct impact on product quality and operational performance within a regulated, safety-focused environment. You will gain exposure to the latest manufacturing practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams dedicated to excellence and continuous improvement. Responsibilities - Execute hands-on manufacturing, assembly, testing, and verification activities per SOPs and production requirements
- Build, program, troubleshoot, repair, and modify equipment and components such as controllers, transmitters, and pump towers
- Stage systems for integration, validation, teardown, and quality inspections
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), validation, and final product verification
- Ensure right-first-time execution by completing tasks accurately and within set timelines
- Document production records, travelers, and related paperwork to meet GMP, safety, and compliance standards
- Proactively identify and resolve production issues, escalating as necessary
- Collaborate with Planning, Integration, Validation, Quality, Logistics, and Engineering teams to meet production schedules
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work area
- Participate in cross-training, process improvement initiatives, and knowledge sharing Required Skills and Experience - High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in manufacturing, assembly, production, or operations
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting SOPs, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Demonstrated ability to assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment
- Consistent attention to detail and accuracy in both task execution and documentation
- Comfortable using hand tools, electrical test equipment, and measurement devices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance Preferred Skills - Experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing environments
- Exposure to single-use technologies, industrial control systems, or bioprocess equipment
- Familiarity with validation, FAT, and quality inspection processes
- Experience with ERP or electronic documentation systems (e.g., SAP, Agile)
