This role involves working in the Adult 2 unit, utilizing the Meditech documentation system, and playing a critical role in providing care to patients with mental health and behavioral issues.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Behavioral Health

• Assess patients' mental health status, recognizing signs of psychiatric disorders, substance use, and behavioral problems
• Develop individualized care plans based on the needs of patients
• Administer psychiatric medications and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions
• Provide crisis intervention and use de-escalation techniques
• Monitor patients for physical and psychological symptoms, including vital signs and mental status changes

Requirements of the RN - Behavioral Health

• Active BLS and CPI certifications
• Experience in crisis intervention and therapeutic communication
• Ability to assess and manage patients with mental health and behavioral issues
