Senior Accountant

Location: Hybrid/Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: Controller / Accounting Manager Salary Range $85,000 - $100,000 annually Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, certifications, and education. Position Summary Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant.This role will be responsible for managing key accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, leading month-end and year-end close activities, and supporting financial reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger experience, excellent reconciliation skills, and hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, medium sized ERP system Essential Responsibilities Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and account adjustments. Perform and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations. Analyze financial data and investigate account variances. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of general ledger transactions. Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules. Maintain accounting records in accordance with GAAP and company policies. Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and analysis. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial reporting. Support system optimization and accounting process improvements within QuickBooks and Sage Intacct. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Demonstrated experience managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Strong experience with: General Ledger Accounting Account Reconciliations Financial ReportingJournal Entries and Accruals Balance Sheet Analysis Proficiency with: QuickBooks Sage Intacct Other Medium Sized ERP System Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reporting, and data analysis) Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications CPA certification or CPA candidate. Experience supporting external audits.
