Location: Hybrid role based in Edwardsville, Illinois, offering a strong mix of in-office collaboration and work-from-home flexibility.

Note: Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in Illinois and have 3+ years of litigation experience. Deposition experience is required.

Job Description

• Handle asbestos, toxic tort, and products liability litigation matters from case inception through resolution
• Research, analyze, and interpret statutes, regulations, ordinances, court decisions, and legal opinions
• Independently manage a litigation caseload and drive cases forward
• Monitor case files and deadlines to ensure matters stay on track
• Investigate facts and legal issues to help determine causes of action and support case strategy
• Assist with document review and case analysis
• Conduct depositions and attend hearings in various counties and courthouses
• Work closely with the team on defense strategy, case development, and litigation execution

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Bar license in good standing
• 3+ years of litigation experience
• Deposition experience required
• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
• Toxic tort or asbestos experience preferred
• Missouri license is a plus
• Ability to manage cases with increasing independence and responsibility
