Job Title: Vascular Ultrasound Technologist

Position Overview
The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic vascular sonography using high-frequency sound waves in accordance with established clinical protocols. This role requires producing high-quality diagnostic images, supporting patient care, and ensuring compliance with departmental standards using RIS and PACS systems.

Position Overview
The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic vascular sonography using high-frequency sound waves in accordance with established clinical protocols. This role requires producing high-quality diagnostic images, supporting patient care, and ensuring compliance with departmental standards using RIS and PACS systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic vascular ultrasound procedures including:
- Bilateral carotid studies
- Duplex venous exams
- Renal duplex studies
- Aortic studies
- Ensure high-quality imaging with proper anatomical positioning and accuracy
- Prepare and position patients while explaining procedures clearly
- Monitor and document patient information using RIS (Radiology Information System)
- Upload and review imaging through PACS system
- Identify and report abnormalities or technical issues affecting imaging quality
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and report malfunctions
- Maintain cleaning logs and ensure exam rooms are fully stocked
- Follow infection control and sterile techniques when required
- Collaborate with radiologists, supervisors, and clinical teams
- Provide excellent patient care with a strong bedside manner
- High School Diploma or GED
- RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) OR RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) - Required
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) Certification - Required
- Minimum 1+ year of clinical experience in vascular ultrasound
- Proven ability to perform vascular studies with diagnostic accuracy
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related healthcare field
- 2+ years of vascular ultrasound experience
- Experience with PACS and RIS systems
- Multilingual abilities (a plus)
- Strong understanding of vascular anatomy and pathology
- Ability to consistently produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in basic computer applications
- Dress Code: Clinical Scrubs (Any color)
- Travel Required: None
- Work Setting: Clinic (No home visits, no multi-location travel)
- In-person interview, including:

- Practical scanning assessment
