Our client in Walnut, MS is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee 2nd shift operations. This role is responsible for ensuring production goals are met, quality standards are upheld, and safety protocols are consistently followed. Pay is based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensure customer requirements and expectations are accurately identified and met
- Oversee production operations to ensure they meet or exceed customer standards
- Provide training on production processes, procedures, and quality controls
- Maintain proper recordkeeping to support quality standards
- Direct, maintain, and enforce safety and quality programs within the facility
- Track and maintain production metrics for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
- Supervise production associates and hold team members accountable to company policies
- Monitor operation of plant equipment and systems
- Review equipment performance to reduce non‑conforming parts and anticipate issues
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Prepare reports, analyze data, and recommend improvements to plant operations
- Evaluate root causes and implement corrective actions when metrics are not met
- Work with support groups to ensure resources are available to meet production needs
- Communicate expectations clearly to team members
- Assist in mentoring and coaching peers
Requirements
- 10+ years of related experience
- 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing facility
- Proven Supervisor experience
- Proficiency with MS Windows and Office
- SAP proficiency required
- Ability to supervise all production areas
- Ability to cover for Operations Manager during absences
