Position: Part-Time, Live-Out Private Educator
Location: Brooklyn (Williamsburg)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4 hours per day (20 hours/week)
Compensation: $4,000/month DOE
Start Date: June 1, 2026

A warm and experienced homeschooling family based in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn is seeking a highly qualified and engaging private educator for their 14-year-old child. The family has always homeschooled and is looking for an educator who can confidently take ownership of the student's academic program while creating a structured, motivating, and supportive learning environment.

The student is academically advanced, and the ideal candidate will be able to thoughtfully adapt and tailor curriculum material to meet higher-level learning needs while keeping lessons engaging and appropriately challenging.
Responsibilities

• Independently develop, manage, and implement a comprehensive homeschooling curriculum across core academic subjects
• Adapt coursework and lesson plans to meet the needs of an advanced 14-year-old student
• Deliver engaging, interactive, and hands-on instruction that fosters curiosity and academic growth
• Create and maintain a structured, organized, and positive learning environment
• Monitor academic progress and adjust curriculum pacing and content as needed
• Encourage strong organizational habits, self-motivation, and accountability
• Take full ownership of the student's educational program with minimal supervision

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced educator with a strong background in homeschooling, private education, or advanced academic instruction for middle or high school-aged students. They are calm, patient, organized, and highly adaptable, with the ability to create customized lesson plans that challenge and inspire an academically advanced learner.

This person should enjoy interactive and action-oriented teaching methods and be passionate about fostering both intellectual growth and independent learning skills.
Requirements

• Prior experience homeschooling or privately educating middle or high school-aged students
• Strong knowledge across core academic subjects
• Experience adapting curriculum for advanced learners
• Ability to independently manage a full academic program
• Organized, reliable, and self-motivated
• Local to Williamsburg, Brooklyn or surrounding areas
• Available to begin June 1, 2026
• Live-out only
• No travel or errands required
