Professional Search Group OC is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Clerk to join our dynamic aerospace industry team. Duties

• Process purchase orders using advanced ERP systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, and AS400 to ensure timely procurement of materials and components
• Communicate effectively with vendors to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms that align with project requirements and budget constraints
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through diligent inventory management and inventory control practices, supporting just-in-time delivery strategies
• Support procurement activities by sourcing suppliers, evaluating vendor performance, and fostering strong vendor relationship management
• Utilize spreadsheets and Excel data analysis tools to monitor procurement metrics, analyze pricing trends, and prepare reports for management review
• Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize materials management processes and improve overall supply chain efficiency
• Support purchasing management systems that are technically supported by various ERP platforms to streamline procurement workflows

Requirements

• Proven experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS or similar platforms within the aerospace or manufacturing sectors
• Strong understanding of materials management, supply chain management, inventory management, and procurement processes
• Excellent vendor communication skills with a focus on vendor negotiation and relationship management
• Proficiency in using spreadsheets (Excel) for data analysis, reporting, and tracking procurement activities
• Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and direct negotiation procurement techniques
• Ability to support sourcing initiatives and inventory control strategies effectively
• Familiarity with accounting software and purchasing management systems is highly desirable
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
