Patient Account Specialist
The Patient Account Specialist oversees and addresses commercial medical insurance claims by reviewing the payer's Explanation of Benefits (EOB). This role involves conducting follow-ups with third parties on pending insurance claims with the relevant medical insurance providers. This position directly interacts with insurance companies to ascertain the necessary actions for obtaining prompt and precise payments, as well as to resolve any issues related to payers and billing.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-3 years medical insurance experience in a medical setting.
- Education: High School or equivalent. Billing/Collections coding education a plus.
- Requirements: Demonstrated knowledge of medical insurance billing. Reimbursement and medical claims experience. Understanding of Explanation of Benefits (EOB) Open to cross training.
