Events Crew Member

Job Duties

Part-time (approx. 4-16 hrs/week), non-exempt, union

Hourly rate: $21.75 – 25.63

Onsite; Must be willing to work evenings and weekends

The Events Crew member will perform a variety of duties related to the preparation for and implementation of museum events.

In this role, you will…

Move and set up equipment such as tables, chairs, signs, recycling bins and pianos for events.

Maneuver loaded carts and heavy equipment near artwork and through the building.

Provide coat check during special events.

Greet and assist the public while working events.

Assist with special activities during events.

Specific Requirements

Exceptional customer service skills.

Ability to lift at least 30 pounds.

Ability to exercise judgment and caution when moving objects through the galleries.

Good verbal communication skills.

Able to work with a team.

Able to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, and weekends to support the museum’s event business.
