Position Overview: The Learning and Development (L&D) Program Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning programs to enhance employee engagement & performance, skill development, and organizational growth. This role involves identifying training needs, developing strategies for effective learning experiences, and fostering a culture of continuous development across the organization. Key Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Design and manage end-to-end learning and development programs aligned with organizational goals. Create training materials, workshops, e-learning modules, and other resources to address skill gaps. Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure training content is accurate and engaging. Conduct training needs assessments through surveys, interviews, and performance data analysis. Identify current and future skill requirements and align L&D initiatives accordingly. Facilitate engaging training sessions, workshops, and webinars for employees at various levels. Partner with external vendors or trainers for specialized learning programs, as needed. Develop metrics to assess the effectiveness of L&D programs. Monitor employee performance and feedback to continuously improve training initiatives. Collaborate with HR, leadership teams, and department heads to ensure alignment with business objectives. Act as a consultant to leadership on strategies to build a learning culture. Leverage learning management systems (LMS) to track and report training participation and completion. Explore and implement innovative tools and technologies to enhance the learning experience. Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner. Complies with Bob’s Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations, Safe Quality Food (SQF) Standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Responsible for reporting food safety and quality concerns to Supervisors and/or Department Manager. Performs other duties and tasks as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. This position reports to the VP of People. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to develop effective training programs. Understands multiple learning styles, including visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and written word. Strong project management and problem-solving skills. Possesses advanced communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to train using multimodal teaching methods and adapt to individual learning styles. Advanced presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts. Ability to build rapport with employee-owners and management by engaging in a personable manner. Skilled in collaborating and communicating within cross-functional teams. Ability to effectively lead and manage multiple projects while meeting critical deadlines. Ability to work effectively with a team using direct communication, respect, creativity, and emotional intelligence. Demonstrates Respect, Teamwork, Accountability, and Determination. Ability to work in an environment where exposure to potential food allergens is or may be present. Education and Experience: 7 or more years of L&D, training, organizational development experience, AND Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, related field or equivalent; OR Any combination of education and additional years of experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to perform assigned tasks. Must have experience providing L&D, training, and/or organizational development within a manufacturing environment. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with e-learning platforms, LMS tools, and instructional design. Certification in instructional design, coaching, or training (e.g. ATD, CIPD) is preferred. Physical Demands: Occasional lifting of boxes up to 25 lbs. Sitting or standing in front of the computer for 5 or more hours per day. Work Environment: The primary work environment is in an office setting. Employees will be exposed to common food allergens.
