Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30, with every other weekend and holiday coverage. Block scheduling is not available, but 4x12 options may be considered.

Job Description

The Med Surg/Tele RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care in a medical-surgical and telemetry setting. The role requires the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and the administration of oxygen and other interventions as needed. The nurse will operate independently, ensuring patient safety and effective nursing practices.

Responsibilities

• Interpretation and management of cardiac rhythms.
• Utilization of rapid response and code teams when necessary.
• Management of patients requiring peripheral line care and oxygen administration.
• Performing isolation precautions and PPE protocols.
• Assist with any special procedures as needed within the unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med Surg/Tele experience.
• Current NY State RN License.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
