Position Overview

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct various ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures, clearly and compassionately explaining each step involved
• Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to achieve high-quality diagnostic imaging
• Expertly operate and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient records within the electronic medical records system
• Stay informed on advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program preferred

Required Certifications

• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
