FT / PT Status – Full-Time Salary – $30.00 - $50.00 Hourly Wage Remote Work / In-Office – In-Office / On-Site Recruiter – Chelsea Rodemack | View email address on click.appcast.io Application Deadline – 6/22/2026 Key Responsibilities Perform repairs of the culinary equipment including dishwashers, ovens, coolers, freezers, kettles, mixers, warmers, exhaust hoods, ranges, hot plates, and ice machines. Maintain refrigeration equipment in the culinary department of the prison, coordinating with institutional needs and enforcing security regulations. Appliance repair and maintenance across commercial refrigerators, coolers, freezers, and ice machines, and assist with HVAC equipment as needed. Design, prepare, and deliver training materials and instructional devices for inmates in culinary kitchen operations. Teach others principles and techniques used in the culinary trade, maintain safety standards, and supervise inmate training. Work as part of a team to support maintenance or service operations. Use and operate hand tools, electrical, and mechanical equipment; troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues, and perform preventative maintenance. Clean, adjust, and maintain equipment, tools, and machinery. Qualifications Skilled experience in the operation, installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration equipment. Experience and knowledge of line voltage electrical circuits. Experience in low voltage controls and troubleshooting electrical controls. Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing culinary equipment. Experience with commercial refrigerators, coolers, freezers, and ice machines. Appliance repair experience. Knowledge of hot water heaters. Electrical and low voltage experience, including controls and sequence experience. Strong troubleshooting skills and preventive maintenance (lubrication) knowledge. Good communication skills. Universal Refrigeration CFC certification preferred (evacuation and recharge of refrigeration systems). Skilled in a vocation with proficiency in related tools and equipment. Understanding of safety and risk management principles, theories, and practices. Ability to follow written and oral instructions and applicable regulations. Strong oral communication and listening skills. Experience with equipment operation and maintenance.
