Job Details FT / PT Status: Full‑Time Salary: $18.76 – $31.10 Hourly Wage Remote Work / In‑Office: In‑Office / On‑Site Key Responsibilities This is a journey level job. Incumbents perform a wide variety of skilled maintenance/construction duties requiring independent ability to organize and complete maintenance or construction projects, including technical consultation and limited design work, materials and cost estimates, plus compliance with applicable codes. A Journey Maintenance Specialist may: Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, make adjustments, repairs, and/or perform preventative maintenance on computers, vehicles, equipment, or machinery. Provide technical consultation to originators of project job orders, including development of project plans and related estimates. Build, fabricate, or repair structures, equipment, and/or miscellaneous articles from verbal instructions, blueprints and/or working drawings. Weld, solder, brazed, grind, and/or fabricate various materials. Paint, finish, and refinished wood, metal and other materials. Perform general facility maintenance including painting, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, as well as general cleaning and sanitation. Perform related plumbing, mechanical, painting and pipe fitting duties. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 3 or more years of experience in facility/building maintenance or an equivalent combination of relevant education, trade school experience, or other hands‑on mechanical and/or electrical systems maintenance experience may be considered in place of the facility/building maintenance requirement. Preferred Qualifications Electrical systems. Heating and cooling systems. Culinary and waste water piping systems. Reading schematic drawings. Working with computer controls. Supplemental Information Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined areas, bend and crouch and work with hazardous chemicals. Must be able to see and hear.
