Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact supporting students in grades 3-8 by guiding their educational journey in a contract-based special education role spanning the academic year from early August through late May. Work on-site in a school setting, serving one location, and embrace daily opportunities to foster growth and development among learners with diverse needs.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Valid state certification: Part-time roles require endorsements 144 or 145; full-time positions require the comprehensive license 461.
• Experience or coursework in special education, particularly with students exhibiting a range of disabilities (SLD, autism, OHI, and low-incidence disabilities).
• Enthusiasm for working in inclusive (part-time) or extended resource (full-time) settings.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small group instruction tailored to students’ unique needs in grades 3-8.
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Document student progress and maintain compliance with educational standards.
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom where every learner is empowered.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues, families, and school leadership.

Enjoy the stability of working a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, with seven hours per day of hands-on teaching and collaborative planning. The position requires in-person presence, as virtual work is not permitted for this assignment.
