Temporary-to-Hire P/T Office Assistant Needed in Lake Bluff, IL
Our client, a very busy and growing animal protection and welfare not-for-profit organization located in Lake Bluff, Illinois, is currently looking to hire a reliable temporary-to-hire part-time Office Assistant to help support smooth business operations.
Flexible hours Monday-Friday between the hours of (8:00am to 5:00pm) working part-time about 25 to 30 hours per week. Must live close to the Lake Bluff, Illinois area.
Must have a reliable car and a valid driver’s license.
Must be reliable, proactive, and be capable of being productive while working independently with limited supervision.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide administrative office support to ensure smooth not-for-profit business operations.
- Assist with special projects and support day-to-day office needs.
- Run business-related errands as needed. Reliable car and valid driver’s license are required.
- Screen and direct phone calls, take messages, respond to emails, and other business-related communications.
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, coordinate appointments, and organize business events.
- Prepare correspondences, reports, presentations, and other business documents.
- Maintain confidential files and sensitive business information.
- Communicate with and manage external vendors to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
- Document Management: Filing, faxing, scanning, photocopying, etc.
- Assist with payroll and managing company finances.
Job Requirements
- 5 years of recent administrative support experience is required.
- College degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Must live close to the Lake Bluff, Illinois area.
- Must have a reliable car and a valid driver’s license.
- Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and as part of a team.
