About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director to lead one of its mission-critical businesses in the education and childcare software space. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the P&L, setting strategic direction, and driving sustained, profitable growth across the product portfolio. This hands-on role requires an entrepreneurial and operationally minded leader who can build and run the business, with a focus on expanding revenue, refining the product portfolio, and deepening customer value. The role also involves evolving the operating model, leading a high-performing team, and being accountable for performance and outcomes. Candidates for the Managing Director position should have a proven track record in a senior leadership role within a software or technology business, with full P&L ownership and a strong background in team leadership, new product development, and business transformation. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial instinct, the ability to lead across product, operations, and finance, and be comfortable with emerging technologies, including AI. Personal characteristics should include being an empathetic leader, results-oriented, and a people-centric leader who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, with an MBA or advanced degree being a strong asset.
