Schedule: Full Time
Pay Rate: $28.00–$34.00 per hour

Help Residents Regain Independence

Lake Eustis Healthcare & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a full-time basis.

In this role, you will work alongside licensed Occupational Therapists and an interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality, individualized therapy services that help residents improve their functional abilities, independence, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans designed to improve residents' functional abilities and independence.

• Guide residents through therapeutic exercises and activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote recovery and maximize independence.

• Monitor resident progress and accurately document treatments and responses in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.

• Communicate effectively with Occupational Therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.

• Ensure resident safety during therapy sessions while following all infection control and safety guidelines.

• Maintain confidentiality of resident information in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies.

• Foster a positive, encouraging environment that supports residents throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Current Florida Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license required.

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply .

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
