About the Position

A growing outpatient practice in Bourbon is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for a full-time, permanent position. This opportunity offers a traditional primary care setting with a strong focus on continuity of care, chronic disease management, and preventive medicine across a diverse patient population.

The provider will work alongside a Nurse Practitioner in a collaborative and supportive environment, with access to basic lab services and the ability to perform a variety of in-office procedures. The role also includes optional teaching opportunities with Family Medicine residents, making it ideal for physicians interested in academic involvement.

Key Highlights:

• Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Light call schedule (1:7, phone call only)
• Average 18–22 patients per day
• Treat patients across all ages (pediatrics to geriatrics)
• Opportunity to teach and mentor residents
• EMR system: Epic

Clinical Scope Includes:

• Chronic disease management and preventive care
• Minor procedures (suturing, biopsies, mole/skin tag removal)
• Women’s health procedures (pap smears)
• Joint injections and aspirations
• General primary care services in an outpatient setting

Qualification

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (Required – Internal Medicine not accepted)
• Active Indiana License or willingness to obtain (Required)
• DEA Certification (Required or willing to obtain)
• BLS and ACLS Certification (Required or willing to obtain)
• Experience treating patients across all age groups (Required)
• COVID vaccination (Required)
• Current NPDB Self-Query report (Required)
• Familiarity with Epic EMR (Preferred)
• Open to H-1B and J-1 visa candidates
