We offer a wide range of outpatient services, including diagnostic imaging, lab tests, respiratory therapy and rehabilitation therapy services.What You'll DoAs a Neuro/Ortho Unit Registered Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.Registered Nurse Job ResponsibilitiesImplements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.In collaboration with the patient and/or family, and healthcare team, participates in open discussion to identify mutual goals based on the nursing assessment and nursing diagnosis.Diagnoses, treats and evaluates the human response to actual or potential health problems/needs.Assesses, detects, monitors and attempts to prevent complications associated with health situations or treatment plans.Notifies the physician of patient condition and response to nursing intervention appropriately and documents this action.Insures that patients pain is assessed, treated, reassessed, documented and evaluated. Adheres to policies and Procedures for Pain Management.Delegation to other licensed and unlicensed care providers based on clinical nursing judgment and skill of the care provider.What You BringAs a Registered Nurse, you'll bring a high level of knowledge and competency in performing nursing care procedures, assessments, treatment, and techniques and your advanced analytical skills are necessary to solve complex problems and make decisions related to patient care. You demonstrate the interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients, visitors, physicians, and others. You demonstrate the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner. You have an understanding of the need to be responsive and reasonably adaptable for scheduling purposes, when necessary, due to extenuating circumstances in support of co-workers and department functions.Required QualificationsBLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.Associates of Applied Science in Nursing (AAS) Degree or Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) or RN Diploma at start date.BSN is required within six (6) years of start date.The Beacon WayAt Beacon Health System, our approach to care goes beyond clinical excellence because it's built on meaningful connections.
