Exciting Endocrinology Physician Opportunity in Mount Vernon, IL – Immediate Start
Join a leading healthcare facility in Mount Vernon, Illinois, as an Endocrinology Physician. Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with 1-hour unpaid lunch)
Hours per Week: 40
Employment Type: Contract
License/Certifications: IL State License, BLS, DEA
Experience: 1+ year preferred

Hourly Pay Rate: $253.50

What You'll Do
- Provide outpatient endocrinology consultations and follow-ups for adult and geriatric patients
- Manage common endocrine conditions including hyper/hypothyroidism, Graves' disease, thyroid nodules, pituitary issues, and diabetes
- Perform FNA procedures
- Coordinate care with support staff including RN, diabetes educator, dietitian, and APP
- Document patient encounters accurately in EPIC EMR
- Support continuous quality improvement efforts within the department
What You Need
Required:- MD/DO with Illinois medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology
- BLS certification
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in endocrinology
- Ability to perform FNA procedures
- Experience working in outpatient endocrinology clinics
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
About the Assignment This outpatient clinic supports adult and geriatric patients managing typical endocrine conditions. The provider will join a dedicated team at a reputable facility, offering professional growth and a collaborative environment. The schedule is flexible, with options to retain current weeks or adjust starting in January. Credentialing takes approximately 60 days, but temporary privileges can be granted quicker with a clean background.
