We are looking for a trusted financial professional with a track record of success and the desire to help businesses achieve their financial goals using a holistic financial planning-based approach.

The Private Banker i s responsible for originating and managing a portfolio of commercial and private loans, deposits, and investments. The overall objective is to maintain and increase its asset quality, and to develop new and existing select credit union relationships to obtain their primary financial relationship. The Private Banker role at GTE is specifically designed to partner with our affluent members one-on-one with the primary focus to enhance our members' financial lives and solidify long-term relationships with the Credit Union.

What does GTE look for in a Private Banker?

Relationship Management & Business Development:

• Business development focus as an individual producer originating, managing, and growing portfolios of affluent members, including commercial and personal loans, deposits, and investments.
• Presents the Private Bank Relationship Program to targeted groups in the community.
• Active leadership in community organizations and activities to promote brand awareness of GTE and Private Bank Relationship services.
• Demonstrates expert ability and knowledge in leading and participating in client relationship building in collaboration with the Investment Services and Member Business Services teams.
• Leverage other credit union resources to support the development of our Private Bank Relationship Program.

Service Quality:

• Provide the highest quality of service to all members; promptly address member concerns and/or escalate to leadership when appropriate
• Listen to members and recommend options that best fit their needs, cross-selling and making referrals when appropriate, using the online tracking and CRM systems.
• Actively participate in programs and procedures that drive deposit, loan, and investment growth.
• Experience required with building and deepening relationships with customers, providing expert guidance and financial advice using a goals-based, relationship-driven approach.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and technology environment.

Operations:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and proprietary software and databases.
• Advanced knowledge of deposit, loan, and investment products.
• Exhibit strong ethical standards, ensuring the integrity of GTE Financial's member relationships.
• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
• Must demonstrate functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to the U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum two years of experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management (or equivalent relationship management role).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume financial service and sales environment with proven success in portfolio growth and client retention.

Position Details:

• Location: Downtown Tampa - GTE Headquarters
• Department Hours: Monday- Friday - 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives, goals, and projects.

The position is defined as hybrid in nature, (in-office, or remote) and may be changed at any time by management with appropriate notice, if possible.

Required for Remote/Hybrid Work:

• A quiet workplace so you can focus on delivering excellent service to our members.
• Some positions will require performance standards to be met to qualify for alternative work arrangements.
• Required to have power and high-speed internet over 100MB (minimum).
• Video capability (connection of 1.5 Mbps up and down recommended).
• Candidates must provide and meet all technical requirements prior to the first day of training.
• Hybrid candidates must live within driving distance of the office location and be able to regularly commute to and from the office location as needed.
