We are seeking our next Grant Coordinator who will be all-in on our mission and who supports the administration, coordination, and compliance of grant-funded projects to ensure adherence to federal, state, local, and institutional requirements. This position serves as a key resource for grant project teams by providing operational, budgetary, and compliance support throughout the grant lifecycle. The Grant Coordinator collaborates with internal departments, project directors, and external stakeholders to promote effective grant management, maintain accurate records, monitor grant activities and expenditures, and support the successful implementation of grant-funded initiatives. This position requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while exercising sound judgment and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and funding requirements.
Qualifications EDUCATION
Required: Associate Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Project Management, Higher Education, Communications, or a related field. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Project Management, Higher Education, Communications, or a related field. EXPERIENCE

Salary: Amarillo College follows a lag pay strategy, with starting offers typically between the minimum and midpoint of the pay grade, rarely reaching the maximum to support long-term growth within each position. Pay grade 11 (salary is determined by Human Resources based on education, work experience and internal comparisons).
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to travel between offices, buildings, and campus locations. The employee must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, and/or move office supplies, files, records, and equipment up to twenty-five (25) pounds as needed. Working Conditions: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed to support grant activities, reporting deadlines, and institutional priorities. Work Environment: This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, including computers, phones, printers, scanners, and presentation technology. Work requires frequent interaction with employees, project directors, funding agencies, and external stakeholders and may involve managing multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously. Software commonly used includes Microsoft Office, Colleague, Cayuse, and other grant management and educational applications. Work may occasionally be performed outside the office with minimal supervision.

- Two (2) or more years of experience in grant administration, compliance, project coordination, or a related field.
- Experience in a non-profit, educational, governmental, or grant-funded environment.
- Experience with federal and state grant regulations and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate and support the administration of grant-funded projects to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and institutional requirements.
- Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Grants Office and grant project teams.
- Assist project directors and grant personnel with the implementation of grant-funded activities and project objectives.
- Monitor grant activities, timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements to support successful project completion.
- Assist with grant project budgets by monitoring expenditures, reviewing budget activity, and helping ensure spending aligns with approved grant objectives and funding requirements.
- Prepare, organize, maintain, and monitor grant documentation, correspondence, files, records, and supporting materials.
- Assist in the preparation, review, and submission of financial, programmatic, and compliance reports for funding agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date grant records utilizing grant management systems such as Cayuse and other institutional systems.
- Collaborate with departments across the College to support grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
- Assist with grant program activities, events, meetings, trainings, and other project-related initiatives as needed.
- Develop, organize, and distribute grant-related resources, training materials, and communications to support project teams and compliance efforts.
- Assist the Grants Office with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of grant administration processes, procedures, and compliance practices.
- Support internal and external grant monitoring activities, audits, and reviews by gathering and organizing required documentation.
- Coordinate grant-related meetings, prepare agendas and materials, document meeting minutes, and follow up on assigned action items.
- Assist in communicating grant requirements, updates, deadlines, and compliance expectations to project teams and other stakeholders.
- Serve as a resource to grant project personnel regarding grant procedures, documentation requirements, and administrative processes.
- Provide administrative support for all grant-funded projects as assigned.
- Perform other work-related duties as required.
- Knowledge of grant administration, compliance practices, budgeting principles, and project coordination.
- Knowledge of federal, state, local, and institutional regulations related to grant funding and compliance.
- Strong organizational, record-keeping, and documentation management skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply grant guidelines, regulations, and policies.
- Ability to monitor budgets, track expenditures, and prepare grant-related reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
