Remote Senior/SME Workday Report Writer Consultant

Job Location: 100% Remote

Job Description:

EliteQuests is seeking a Senior/SME Workday Report Writer Consultant for a 6+ month contract opportunity with the State of Maine . This is a remote position working on the PRISM project , which is a statewide, Workday-based application in its final implementation stages. The role will involve developing and modifying reports to meet operational needs and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of reporting solutions.

Specialty Areas:

• Workday Reporting – Simple, Advanced, and Matrix report development.
  

• Collaboration – Work closely with multiple team leads to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  

• SQL & Excel – Utilize SQL and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  

Responsibilities:

• Develop and modify Workday reports to meet business requirements for the PRISM project.
  

• Collaborate with Reporting Lead , Reporting BA , and agency subject matter experts to prioritize and understand reporting needs.
  

• Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues in a timely manner.
  

• Optimize report performance and maintain compliance with internal/external controls.
  

• Test reports against requirements and facilitate testing with functional SMEs.
  

• Utilize Confluence , JIRA , SharePoint to track work progress.
  

• Maintain documentation for reporting tasks and ensure proper knowledge transfer to functional teams.
  

• Execute responsibilities with minimal direct supervision from the Team Lead and proactively manage time and issues related to assigned work.
  

Skill Matrix:

Mandatory Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Workday Report Developer (Simple, Advanced, and Matrix reports).
  

• 5+ years of experience in SQL and Excel .
  

• Proven collaboration experience with cross-functional teams for report specification and requirement gathering .
  

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills .
  

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  

• Ability to manage time and responsibilities with minimal guidance.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study.
  

• Experience with data mapping .
  

• Experience in the public sector or government projects.
  

• Familiarity with tools like Confluence , JIRA , and SharePoint for tracking and collaboration.
