Job Title

Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Nights)

Location

Marquette, MI | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations (ages 18+)
• Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to assess and respond to patient needs with minimal supervision
• Operate and monitor unit equipment including telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, bladder scanners, and Dynamaps
• Document patient care accurately using the Cerner electronic health record system
• Maintain patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1 and float occasionally to like units as needed
• Adhere to facility dress code, hand hygiene policy, and all applicable compliance standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN State License (must be obtained prior to start)
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience on a Medical/Surgical unit strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner EHR
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
