Work Environment

Your role will be carried out onsite within the context of home care, providing a unique opportunity to interact with patients in their own environments, which can enhance the therapeutic relationship and improve the efficacy of treatment. The typical working schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients suffering from various orthopedic injuries and conditions, ensuring accurate diagnoses and treatment planning.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect patient goals, utilizing techniques such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and advanced modalities.
• Monitor patient progress throughout their recovery journey, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure the highest level of care.
• Educate patients on techniques for injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and home programs to maximally support their recovery.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure integrated care for complex cases.
• Maintain meticulous and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and facilitating continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on treating patients with orthopedic conditions, including those recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or experiencing post-injury rehabilitation. Your interaction with diverse patient demographics will range from athletes seeking recovery from sports-related injuries to older adults managing age-related musculoskeletal challenges. In this role, you will not only enhance your clinical skills but also strengthen your ability to deliver empathetic and effective care tailored to individual patient needs.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy (MPT) from an accredited institution.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• Minimum of three years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, with exposure to a variety of patient populations.
• Strong proficiency in orthopedic assessment and a comprehensive understanding of treatment techniques.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients and a healthcare team.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment while managing workload efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in sports rehabilitation and pain management techniques is advantageous.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient care and track progress.
• Continuing education in specialized orthopedic techniques or certifications will be a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
