Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients with diverse orthopedic conditions, identifying specific impairments and functional limitations.
• Creating and implementing personalized treatment plans that may incorporate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Continuously monitoring patient progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment protocols to achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Educating patients on rehabilitation techniques, injury prevention strategies, and the importance of home exercise programs to encourage self-management and continued recovery.
• Collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and communication regarding patient progress.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant documentation of patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients who have experienced orthopedic injuries, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of age groups, from young athletes to older adults, ensuring that each treatment plan is tailored to the individual's specific needs.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy (MPT) from an accredited academic institution.
• An active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Florida.
• At least three years of clinical experience, particularly in orthopedics, outpatient settings, or similar areas.
• Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedic assessment techniques and treatment modalities.
• Strong communication skills, capable of building rapport with patients and collaborating with team members.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle a diverse patient caseload effectively.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of three years of experience is required, preference will be given to candidates with experience in specialized areas such as geriatrics, acute care, or sports rehabilitation. Proficiency in utilizing therapeutic modalities and familiarity with electronic health record systems will be an asset.
