Senior Mechanical EngineerOur progressive Engineering Team at our office in Austin, TX seeks a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer with 5-10+ years of experience. We want someone with a desire to exceed expectations and a commitment to ensuring the built environment matches the design intent. We need someone who can give critical insight to project teams on a variety of construction types to help our clients achieve their goals.The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for working with engineering team members and coordinating consultant responsibilities of studies, design, or construction documents of various scale projects.Work in a team environment supporting Education, Healthcare and Commercial projectsWork collaboratively with our firm's integrated engineers and architects in Austin, San Antonio, Houston and DallasProvide full design of mechanical system plans and specsPerform construction administration of mechanical systemsDesign HVAC controlsWe're looking for passionate, driven self-starters. Beyond that, you'll need…Bachelor's degree in mechanical or architectural engineering, or a related field preferred5-10+ years of professional MEP design experience in an engineering firmExperience with healthcare or education projectsRevit experience – experience coordinating MEP models within a multidiscipline BIM environment preferredWorking knowledge of applicable building codes, energy codes, and MEP-related standards including but not limited to IMC, NEC, and NFPAFamiliarity with engineering calculations – load calculations, equipment sizing, duct and pipe sizing, etcStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects in various stages simultaneouslyExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and with clientsProficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Newforma a plusPE licensure or active pursuit of PE licensure is a plus, but not requiredThat's easy.
