Principal Software Engineer – Switch Design
Job Location: Silicon Valley, CA
Job Type: Full Time
Job Description:
- Develop and optimize low-level firmware and switch software
- Adapt firmware for new hardware platforms
- Work closely with hardware, firmware, and software teams
- Lead technical reviews and product strategy discussions
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering
- 15+ years of networking switch development experience
- Strong C/C++ and Python programming skills
- Deep knowledge of SONiC, ONL, Linux networking, and Broadcom XGS
- Experience with EVPN, VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, IGMP, and PIM protocols
