The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. You will be working closely with our financial management team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices. The goal is to provide transparent, accurate, and comprehensive financial information to our company for effective decision making. This is a permanent position requiring a minimum of 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping. Responsibilities: Oversee all company accounts and investments. Create monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts. Manage and track all financial transactions, including invoices, statements, and reporting. Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported. Develop systems to process payroll and track all expenses. Streamline bookkeeping procedures to increase efficiency and productivity. Maintain and update the company's financial database, including digital receipts, invoices, and tax forms. Collaborate with the financial team to prepare for annual audits. Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems. Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation. Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist the Finance Manager with conducting audits. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping, and computer operation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and QuickBooks. Experience in services related to payroll such as writing checks and submitting payroll taxes. Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. Accurate and precise attention to detail. Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels. Self-motivated and self-directed. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions. In-depth understanding of the construction industry would be a plus.
