Physician Assistant - Psychiatry

TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA) for a full-time permanent opportunity with a community-based behavioral health program in South Carolina. This position offers the opportunity to provide integrated psychiatric care within a collaborative healthcare environment focused on underserved patient populations.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

Setting: Outpatient Behavioral Health / Integrated Care

Location: South Carolina Coverage Area: Multiple clinic locations, including Hartsville, SC two days per week

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental status examinations
• Diagnose and manage behavioral health conditions including: depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other psychiatric conditions
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with primary care providers and behavioral health staff
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications
• Provide crisis intervention and supportive psychotherapy as appropriate
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, case managers, and community resources
• Complete timely EMR documentation and maintain accurate patient records
• Participate in quality improvement and Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives

Requirements:

• Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited NP or PA program
• Active South Carolina APRN or PA license required
• National certification required
• PMHNP-BC preferred for Nurse Practitioners
• CAQ in Psychiatry preferred for Physician Assistants
• Minimum of 2 years of psychiatric experience strongly preferred
• BLS certification required
• Strong collaboration and communication skills required
