Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend | Holidays as Needed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a primarily Medical Surgical population, including observation patients, surgical patients, and surgical observation cases
• Care for patients with respiratory conditions, general medical surgical diagnoses, diabetes (including new diabetics and patients with diabetes-related complications), palliative, end-of-life, and hospice needs, as well as psychiatric observation patients
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using EPIC EMR
• Float to other campus locations within the health system as needed
• Participate in onboarding modules and compliance requirements, including a mandatory EKG exam

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (two attempts allowed)
• Must meet local candidate policy requirements; current driver's license required to verify address

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience as a Charge RN
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
