Registered Nurse (Float)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Assesses and evaluates patient and family needs to provide quality care to assigned patients.
Develops, discusses, and communicates a plan of care for each patient, in collaboration with each patient/family to address identified needs.
Evaluates the patient's response to the care provided; modifies care upon response elicited.
Coordinates nursing care and patient/family education for psychiatric patients through the use of the nursing process.
Travels to other facilities as needed and/or as instructed.
Reports to work in a timely manner and adheres to policies, procedures, and processes.
Performs other job duties as needed and/or as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing, substance disorders, and/or behavioral health is preferred.
Requires intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and intermediate knowledge of electronic medical record documentation/utilization in a paperless setting.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Must hold a current state Registered Nurse license.
BLS certification is required upon hire.
De-escalation training is required within 30 days of hire.
