AVP Branch Manager

The Branch Manager leads branch operations with a strong focus on exceptional client service, employee development, and effective support of the branch team and bankers located at the branch. This position oversees daily operations, supports bankers in meeting client needs, coordinates operational and facility matters, and ensures compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Leads, develops, and supports branch employees through hiring, scheduling, coaching, performance management, and consistent communication. Promotes a consistent, responsive client experience and ensures client needs and concerns are resolved promptly and professionally. Supports the branch team and bankers located at the branch with account opening and maintenance, client inquiries, transaction needs, relationship management, and other client service needs. Oversees retail administration, operational controls, staffing, workflow, and service standards to maintain an efficient, compliant, and professional branch environment. Strengthens client relationships through proactive service, timely follow-up, community involvement, and appropriate referrals to banking partners. Coordinates branch facility needs, including maintenance, repairs, security, supplies, vendor access, and communication with internal teams and external service providers. Provides hands‑on support with client service and operational responsibilities as branch needs require. Ensures adherence to bank policies, procedures, security standards, and regulatory requirements while safeguarding confidential information and records. Education and Experience Required College degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience, is preferred. Three years progressive bank branch retail experience required. One year of Assistant Branch Manager experience required with two years of Branch Manager experience preferred. Skills and Abilities Required Problem‑solving, communication, customer service or organization skills are necessary to perform the day‑to‑day tasks. In addition, this individual should be able to make decisions quickly and accurately while dealing with possible complex information. Job Knowledge / Technical Skills: Experience with Jack Henry Xperience banking systems is preferred.
