Assistant General Manager (Hotel/ Residential)

The Assistant General Manager will report to the general manager and perform administrative and organizational duties such as liaising with residents, collecting rent, doing basic bookkeeping, organizing property viewings and overseeing facility maintenance. This role will also be responsible for evaluating applicants and negotiating contracts.This is an in-person position located on-site of the property.What You'll Do:Uphold Sentral's standards, best practices, policies and procedures, and value of excellence in customer serviceAssume General Manager's duties/authority in absence of immediate supervisor in accordance with company and community guidelinesEstablish rapport with residents and guests so they always feel lovedRespond to resident and guest questions and concerns in a timely mannerBe responsible for resident lease renewal process and retention resultsMonitor and respond to all online reviews per company procedure and policyEnsure compliance with all company, local, state and federal regulations and safety rulesEnsure unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely mannerMaintain accurate monthly commission sheets on leases, renewals and delinquencies for bonus purposesComplete accounting month end process and assist with monthly financial statement reportingProvide general clerical assistance to community officeManage the maintenance and custodial teams at the propertySchedule and oversee maintenance calls to apartment unitsContinuous understanding of the property's condition related to capital, repairs, vacant status, etc.Oversee of planning and execution of resident and guest eventsOversee and provide back up to the leasing floorAssist in monitoring advertising source effectivenessAssist in conducting market surveys and shop competitive communitiesPerform other related duties and assignments as needed and assignedSkills and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferredA minimum of one-year experience in a customer service-related industry and one-year apartment leasing experience or a combination of accounting skills/education with customer service experience is preferredMust possess strong attention to detail and sales abilityOSHA laws and regulations, willingness to obtain within six monthsDemonstrate an ability to support and contribute to community teamDemonstrate strong oral and written communication skillsGreat time management skillsStrong decision-making and problem-solving skillsComputer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related communication toolsMust possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstancesParticipate in training in order to comply with new or existing lawsDemonstrate ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problemAbility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekendsCommunity Team Perks + Benefits:Health & Wellness: We offer multiple medical, dental, and vision health plan options that begin the first month after your start date!
