About this role

Make a Difference Through Diagnostic Imaging

As a CT Technologist, you'll play an important role in supporting accurate diagnosis and patient care by performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) examinations. Reporting to the Section Leader of CT, you'll use advanced imaging technology to produce diagnostic images that help physicians identify and evaluate disease and injury.

What You'll Do

• Perform a variety of diagnostic CT examinations safely, accurately, and efficiently.
• Produce high-quality CT images that assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injury.
• Apply knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and medical terminology to support accurate imaging.
• Perform IV procedures and administer/use iodinated contrast media in accordance with applicable ACR guidelines.
• Operate CT imaging equipment and use related clinical technology effectively.
• Document and manage imaging information using PACS, HIS/RIS, and other computer systems.
• Protect patient privacy and maintain the confidentiality of patient and organizational information.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, technologists, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Follow established clinical, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Bring

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology required.

Experience

• One or more years of experience as a CT Technologist preferred.

Licensure & Certifications

• Current R.T.(R)(ARRT) registration required.
• Current advanced CT registration or ability to obtain advanced CT registration within one year of hire.
• Current Radiologic Technologist licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.

Skills & Knowledge

• IV skills and proficiency with iodinated contrast media according to ACR guidelines.
• High level of knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and medical terminology.
• Proficiency performing a variety of diagnostic CT scans.
• Computer proficiency, including PACS and HIS/RIS.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
