SECURITY OFFICER

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Enforce company security regulations including but not limited to continuously monitoring the casino and property. Appropriately handle active threats. Assist with evacuation procedures. Protect the transfer of money, chips and company assets. Provide a safe environment for our employees and guests. Give directions and escort guests and employees as needed. Represent the company and its property to ensure all casino regulations are upheld at all times. Patrol all sections of the casino and property. Make and conduct chip fills, marker transfers and sensitivity key escorts. Provide first aid including CPR when necessary. Assist with lost and found. Conduct interviews, investigate and document all applicable incidents. Write reports as needed. Act as a role model, always presenting oneself as a credit to Harrah’s Gulf Coast. Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies. Enforce Project 21 policy and procedures by monitoring area for underage gamblers. Suggest products, services and experiences to guests. Respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations. Make rational decisions when handling guest and employee issues. Be able to physically restrain individuals when a condition of arrest exists. Suggest Caesars Rewards Loyalty Program to guests. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be able to acquire and maintain a Mississippi Gaming Permit issued by the Mississippi Gaming Commission. Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must pass a drug test. Previous guest service and security experience is desirable. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License. Must be able to get along with co‑workers. Maintain knowledge of current property events, promotions and attractions. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently. Must present a well‑groomed appearance. Must adhere to uniform/appearance requirements. Must be able to complete and pass multiple online training classes. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred. Ability to appreciate and be friendly with all Harrah’s Gulf Coast team members of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Able to accept direction of Senior Leadership. Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/First‑Aid certification. High school graduate or GED is required. Able to read, write and speak English sufficiently to perform job. Ability to tolerate cigarette and cigar smoke. Responds to visual and aural cues. Required to work indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions. Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino including stairwells and elevators. Able to tolerate a loud and noisy environment. Able to stand and walk for extended periods. Able to sit, stoop, reach and bend. Able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to remember specific details of incidents and persons. Must be able to work at a fast pace and stressful situations.
