Wear Resistant Materials SpecialistPerforms manual work within generally defined work instructions which contributes to the achievement of expected production volumes. Uses a variety of hand tools to prepare and apply Wear Resistant Materials such as rubber, ceramic tile, stone hard and ceramic bead to equipment and components related to the mineral and mining industry.Key Responsibilities:Identify different types of lining materialsUse safe rigging and overhead crane practice's on various heavy metal shapesSafe practices for hand grindingSafe operation of Fork-LiftOperate a saw to cut ceramic tiles, carbide tungsten and rubberMix and apply compounds used as adhesivesApply various lining materials to various products as per blue prints and client specificationsMaintains safe operations by adhering to FLSmidth safety procedures and regulations.As part of job enrichment, and at the company's discretion, cross training in other areas will be givenSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThe job has no supervisory responsibilitiesEducation, Experience and Skills2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment preferredComputer skills: ability to use the computer for time tracking purposesUnderstanding of lining materials and how they affect the performance of the productReasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
