Human Resources Consultant Employee & Labor Relations
Immediate need for a talented Human Resources Consultant Employee & Labor Relations. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Pasadena, CA (Hybrid). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.
Pay Range: $40/hr - $44/hour. Traveler benefits as per agency package. (Benefits vary by vendor and assignment).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support development and implementation of HR programs and strategic HR roadmaps
- Partner with management on employee relations, labor relations, organizational change, and workforce planning
- Coach leaders and employees on performance management, leadership development, communication, and team effectiveness
- Conduct and document workplace investigations with urgency and accuracy
- Advise management on staffing, retention, compensation, terminations, employee relations, and organizational design
- Interpret and uphold HR policies and practices while recommending improvements when appropriate
- Facilitate problem-solving sessions and team development discussions
- Coordinate training and development solutions that support cultural change and organizational effectiveness
- Strengthen the use of performance management and performance development practices across the organization.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience
- 24 years of HR generalist experience
- 3+ years of experience working with labor unions
- Experience with employee relations and workplace investigations
- Knowledge of California labor laws
- Strong coaching, facilitation, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to influence leaders and employees through collaboration
- Excellent conflict resolution, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Thorough knowledge of HR policies, practices, and systems
- SPHR strongly preferred
- Employee relations in a unionized environment
- Collective bargaining agreement experience
- Labor relations, grievance handling, and contract interpretation
- Organizational development and change leadership
- Leadership coaching and performance management support
- Healthcare or large matrixed organization experience
